This is a member only event. Free for members The beauty of Renaissance-style recorders! Medieval and Renaissance music can of course be played on any style of recorder, but there is something quite special about using copies of instruments that were built at the time. Their timbre, their tone color, and the way they blend together in consort can make the experience quite unique. This presentation will illustrate those characteristics, through audio and video samples, photos and early prints, along with a live demonstration of all the sizes of the consort. The Zoom link will be live beginning at 1:30 pm Eastern (12:30 pm Central, 11:30 am Mountain, 10:30 am Pacific).
