Special Presentation with Vicki Boeckman

This is a NAVRS members only event. Our next presentation is a very special one, and will feature distinguished recorder player and teacher, Vicki Boeckman. This will be a “show and tell” about the differences between recorders – “not just the different sizes, but also between plastic and wooden recorders, between renaissance and baroque/standard recorders, between different kinds of woods, between different models of recorder, between fingering systems, and much more. She will explain what various terms mean, both in the abstract and to the player, and she will illustrate these differences by demonstrating these live with instruments from her own extensive collection and by sharing examples from recordings of recorders in ensembles.”
